OVERFLOWING GRACE
April-May 2023
It’s almost half of the year yet God’s amazing love, grace, and provision still the same. We all have our limitations, but our God is a limitless God! It’s been a wonderful 5 months of BL Ministry and we are so expectant for more.
Continuous support from Different Places
God is a true Miracle Worker! For the past 5 months, God has miraculously provided for every ministry of BL in its various locations, as well as the needs of every staff member. Although the 5 months donations are lower than what we need,Westill thank God for touching many people's lives around the world to support the poor through BL.
Meeting wih the Social Worker
It is indeed an answered prayer because we finally have a Social Worker that will focus on getting additional licenses for the Organization to operate with tax exemptions and more opportunities to minister to the poor. (DSWD and PCNC Accreditationand licenses). Praise God for Ms. ShielaDepedrafor boarding with us in this work.
BL Staff Retreat at Ilocos Norte
What a wonderful blessing it was for the entire BL Staff to spend our annual retreat in Ilocos Norte last May 24-27! We give thanks to God for providing for this retreat. We enjoyed visiting some of the tourist attractions, learn our history closer, but most of all, we enjoyed fellowship and studying the Word together. It truly provides a rest and recharge for our soul.
PRAYER CONCERNS:
Health Ministry update june 2023
MEDICAL SUPPORT FELLOWSHIP
By God's grace, MSF has been consistent every week. The patients have been gathering weekly to monitor their vital signs and receive their medicines. Aside from these, patients have their own bible study groups. Currently, there are 10 patients in Trece, and 5 patients in Marilao. One of the praises of the MSF program for the past months is that we have new attendees every week. It is very heartwarming to see new faces and to know that they are getting invited by their friends or family who are part of the program.
Nanay Emily, MSF patient from Trece since 2015 has been part of the program because of hypertension and high blood sugar. She is very grateful to be part of this because through this, she has grown more in the Lord. From being a participant in a house church, she is now a house church leader for MSF Patients. With the help of this program, her daughter, Kirzten Abby, is part of the scholarship program of BukangLiwayway and is a leader of the Dawn Harvest Church – Trece. Nanay Emily is very thankful to this program because it brough her and her family to attend the church.
HEALTH EDUCATION AND LIFT PROGRAM
On May 6, we started the health seminars in Calapan. Praise God for that we have been able to start it again after it was stopped due to the pandemic. It was a fruitful time of discussing different diseases like Tuberculosis, Diabetes Mellitus, and Hypertension. We were very grateful to have 19 attendees who were very interested in the topics and were willing to learn about health.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Funding for the MAP is very limited. Despite this challenge, we still extend our help to 8 people who needed assistance.
TB PROGRAM
With the struggle of low number of patients at the clinic, we decided to have go house-to-house in the community of Antipolo. Knocking ondoors, inviting families to be screened for TB, and getting the opportunity educating them about the FAQs, and common misconceptions about TB.
Last November 2022, the Health Department applied for a grant from USAID for the TB Program. And by God’s grace, the application was approved. It is a very big help to TB Program and a great opportunity to screen more people for TB.
PRAYER CONCERNS:
*Pray with us for strength, wisdom, and excitement for theHealth Team and other BL Staff in the upcoming months with the partnership with USAID. Pray that we will be able to accomplish the monthly tasks that have been given to us, so we can be supported financially for 6 months.
*Pray that the people in the community will be willing to participate in the STOP TB - Program.
*Pray for the continuous provision of different programs of the health ministry so we can reach and help more people.
*Pray for wisdom and strength for Nurse Janice and Nurse Michelle as they prepare for the upcoming health seminars in the different BL Locations.
*Pray for provision as we needed a place in Antipolo city to build our Health Clinic accessible to the poor.
CHILD & YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
BL Sponsorship Program
We are praising the Lord for another month that has passed. We have seen God’s faithfulness and provision evidently in sponsorship program. Praise God that we consistently give allowances to 290 scholarsof BukangLiwayway. Continue to pray for 72 unsponsored students who do not have sponsor yet.
Our hearts were overjoyed seeing the smile of every student that received a blessing that will truly help them in their studies. DXC Technology donated 2nd hand laptops and 8 students from different locations of BukangLiwayway received these.
In part of discipling the scholars in the community not just in their spiritual life but also in the aspect of their academic, The BL Sponsorship Team conducted a Career Seminar for all 45 Grade 12 students from all locations. The speakers talk about the Biblical View of Career in choosing a career path, made an orientation about different kind of strand that co-relates to courses that they want to pursue when entering university.
Youth & Kids Ministry
We are praising the Lord for every Youth & Kids Ministers who are continually doing the harvest in the community – every location has their own Kids Ministers or what we call Sunday school. It is our joy seeing them growing intentionally. Church Leaders conducting training, head teachers discussed on what and how to have creative storytelling where it will produce a connection between the young audience and the story of Jesus. Even how to create activities and ice breakers for effective learning and engagement of children in the work.
Youth Leadership & Empowerment Program
Praise be to the Lord for the second time that the leaders from DHC Antipolo, DHC Padilla, DHC Marikina, DHC Tanay and DHC Pandacan are together. Praise God in the life of Ate Mimi Dungganon who dedicates her time for the leaders of DHC Philippines to help us grow even more in serving the Lord by discovering our Spiritual ability given to us by the Lord.
Praise be to God for the fruitful study of "Active Listening" led by Ate Anamae last May. She shared the ways of what, why, where, and how to listen to people around us. This will pave the way for a healthy and harmonious relationship within our home and community.

SAMBAHAY AND TRAININGS
Greetings! As we reach the halfway point of 2023, we are grateful for God's unwavering faithfulness. The Church Movement Department has been working tirelessly these past few months to bring glory to God. One of our recent achievements was the successful 3-day Pastoral Team Camp held from March 24 to 26, which 64 leaders from BukangLiwayway attended. Through this training, we were able to equip our leaders with pastoral tasks, enabling them to be more effective in their ministry. We also thank God for sustaining The Bible Camp Program for three years. Last April 12 to 15, we held the program’s final phase at the Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary in Baguio City, where we celebrated the graduation of 47 graduates who had persevered and worked hard for the past three years to finish the program. This program has helped our local leaders gain a deeper understanding of God and serve their communities better by faithfully sharing God's word.
CO-LABORERS & MINISTRY
We are thrilled to share that the Lord's ministry continues to thrive in all the communities that BukangLiwayway serves, particularly in Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro, and Rosario, Cavite. On May 7, 2023, BukangLiwayway's staff visited the planted church in Bulalacao, and we were filled with joy to witness how God is working in this community. The community comprises multiple Mangyan families, some of whom come from distant barangays. We can see their passion for serving Jesus as they walk miles barefoot to attend the Sunday service and share the good news with others. God is moving in this community.
In Rosario, Cavite, where poverty is prevalent, and multiple houses are made from scrap materials with no proper comfort rooms, we have found a gem. Despite their circumstances, the community's heart is open to the word of God. We are now mobilizing the ministry works in this area, and we thank God for providing us with a strategic location for our ministry center, which is just a few meters away from the community. Truly, our God is great and wonderful, extending His grace to those in need, both financially and spiritually.
WE HUMBLY ASK FOR YOUR PRAYERS ON THE FOLLOWING MATTERS:
Thank you for your support, and may God bless you abundantly!
